OKW has reported a surge in interest for its TOPTEC universal plastic enclosures following the electronica 2024 trade fair in Munich.
TOPTEC enclosures enable PCBs with protruding connectors and interfaces to be mounted directly into the case. Typical applications include monitoring and signalling equipment, control systems, medical/wellness devices, computer peripherals, IoT, and IIoT solutions.
These versatile enclosures, moulded from ABS (UL 94 HB), are ideal for both desktop and wall-mounted electronics. A fastening element (available as an accessory) allows the TOPTEC to be easily fitted onto DIN rails.
Snap-together assembly accelerates installation. The base features lateral openings for convenient access from all sides, and clip-in end panels mean that PCBs with pre-fitted connectors can be inserted straight in. For security, a tool is required to open the assembled case.
TOPTEC can be specified with or without ventilation slots, suitable for applications involving gas detection or sound. The top is recessed to accommodate a membrane keypad or label. Inside, screw pillars are provided for PCB mounting.
The range includes 28 models, encompassing Type F (flat top) and Type H (high top) variants. Sizes range from 102 x 54 x 30 mm up to 194 x 115 x 46 mm. Standard colours are black (RAL 9005) or off-white (RAL 9002) with pebble grey (RAL 7032) end panels.
Accessories include a wall suspension element with a quick-release tab. This concealed element snaps into the base apertures. Anti-slide feet are also available for secure desktop use.
