Find The Needle Add My Company

3 ways to Effectively Brand Your Employees

If you’re looking to promote your business, then branding matters. If your customers aren’t aware of who you are and what you do, then you won’t enjoy their custom. Your brand, ideally, should spring to mind whenever the customer feels a need that your business is positioned to fill. If you’re a takeaway restaurant, then your name should be considered whenever the customer feels like ordering in. If you’re an internet provider, then your name should be considered whenever a would-be customer feels the need to upgrade their broadband.

Of course, for your brand to occur to these people in these circumstances, it will need to be already present in their subconscious. Getting it there will, in most cases, require sustained work over a long period of time.

Some of this work can be done by your employees, who can act as ambassadors for your brand. You can help them do this effectively through a range of measures. Let’s look at three of the most effective.

Company Car

If you are going to offer your employees a company car, then you have an opportunity for branding. You might think of the livery printed on the side of tradesman’s van – but, vehicle branding can also be subtle. A prestigious, luxury vehicle might be found on the used market, and equipped with company-branded colours or logos. If you’re catering to wealthy clients, then you might look for a used BMW 2 series for sale, and rebrand it accordingly.

Branded Socials

As well as helping your employees carry your branding in the real world, you might also ensure that their digital presence also supports the business. For example, you might talk to them about keeping their social media presence consistent with your company’s typography, colour scheme, and logos. You might also offer them free headshots. This way, when they interact with social media platforms like X and LinkedIn, it will be immediately obvious which company they work for.

Swag Bag

A bag filled with merchandise can be an extremely affordable way to spread a message. Giving away pens, umbrellas, and branded clothing can make your company’s name and colours visible. These items will almost certainly find their way into the hands of people who don’t work for you, and these people might then go on to become customers.

But other practical items like mobile phone chargers and USB cables might also help to boost morale among your workforce. These items, after all, can be very helpful, even outside of the workplace.

The sight of a bag filled with goodies can send a message to employees that their efforts are valued. It can also help to foster a sense of unity and camaraderie, and help everyone to pull in the same direction. These gifts may be tax deductible, too.
