It’s very easy for things to become outdated very quickly in today’s society. Building a website can take a lot of time and money, and you want something that will stand the test of time. However, instead of spending precious time doing a complete overhaul, there are a few things to keep your website fresh and exciting.
TIPS
- Mobile Friendly – This is perhaps the most important. Many of your web inquiries may come from mobile searches. It is very important for your mobile to be optimized for a small screen, as well as a desktop.
- Add Testimonials – These do not need to be very long, but it can offer potential customers or clients a snapshot into what your business is truly like.
- About Us – Make it personal, by having a picture and bio about your team. This will show off your brands personality, and help customers understand a bit more about who they are talking too.
- Visuals – Make your website interesting and use plenty of visuals. If a customer sees a plain block of text, they are not going to read it. If there’s pictures of recent projects, or products, then this makes what you have to say a whole lot more interesting.
- Call To Action – Make sure that on every single page there is a call to action. Whether it is to buy a product, sign up to the newsletter, or to just get in touch, make it a very simple process.
- Contact Details – How many times have you gone on a website to then get lost when trying to find the contact information? Make it so easy by having a phone number or email on the homepage, and an easy to find contact page.
- Menu – Take a look at your navigation menu. If you have more than what you need on it, then get rid of it all and stick to the basics. A clean menu means customers will easily find what they need.
- Branding – If your website is different to your other social media platforms, then change this. This creates brand awareness which is very important.
- Directions – Show your customers how to find you. This makes your company personal, and shows customers that you care.
- Layout – Choose a clean, readable font that users across all devices can read. If a site looks messy, then people are more likely to leave.
