As the date for the United Kingdom’s withdrawal from the European Union draws ever closer Timesco wish to outline our current plans for Brexit by answering the frequently asked questions we are receiving; Do Timesco have a notified body based within the EU? SGS Belgium (CE 1639) are now our notified body and we have the appropriate certificate. Have Timesco appointed an EC REP? We have identified an EC REP and are now finalising the mandate. Have Timesco prepared for possible disruptions to your supply chain? In accordance with the latest advice from the UK Government we are using alternate shipping routes away from the Channel short straits. We have registered for the UK Government secured freight capacity scheme. Will Timesco be holding additional stock to mitigate any disruption to your supply chain? We are holding 12 weeks’ worth of stock in case of any disruption. Do you have an agreement in place to manage your customs requirements from bringing goods into the UK from the EEA from 1st January 2021? An agreement is in place to manage our customs requirements from 1st January 2021. Have you obtained an UK Economic Operator Registration and Identification (EORI) number? We have obtained our EORI number.
