Graphite cloth

Abrasive belts perform at their best when any heat generated from the grinding action is kept to a minimum. To help achieve this most belt machines have a graphite layer placed behind the belt to reduce heat generation. To maintain optimum performance this strip should be replaced at regular intervals.
