Our polishing compounds are in different grades from a fairly coarse PV569 for removing scratches up to a fine mirror finishing polish (PV102). They can be used individually to achieve a preferred finish, or as in part of a system, for example to improve stainless sheet to a mirror finish. They are used on carrier products, such as polishing mops, felt discs and polishing wheels. It is suggested that you keep a separate wheel or disc for each type of polish. This would avoid contaminating final stage work with residual coarser polish. De-greasing is made easier with Vienna Chalk.
Specification:
Supplied in bars of approx 1kg.
PV101 (green) gives a milky bright appearance on stainless steel. It is usually followed by PV102 (pink) as part of a mirror finishing process.
PV102 (pink) is ultra-fine and best used on felt or cotton for mirror finishing.
PV05 (off-white) is a good bright finishing polish on most materials including aluminium and plastic.
PV569 (black) is a more aggressive polish for scratch removal and surface cleaning. It can be used on sisal mops for greater cutting.
