Stitched Cotton Mops

Stitched cotton mops are slightly compliant and ideal for final polishing.

Stitched cotton creates compliant polishing wheels which are ideal for final finishing. The cotton is a great carrier for polishing compounds. Typically, they are used with PV102 (green) polish to give a bright finish and are ideal for going further with PV102 (pink) to obtain a mirror finish. Sizes range from 50mm (2") which can be used on a drill, up to 300mm (12") for use on bench polishers. To avoid contamination, it is usually best to keep different mops for different polishes.

Specification:

• Cotton material concentrically stitched.
• For use with suitable polishing compounds (We have a recommended selection).
• Leather bound centre hole for fitting to tapered shaft or parallel shaft with clamps.
• Diameters 50mm (2") to 300mm (12").
• Built in section of approx 1/2", hence a 2 section mop would be approx 1" thick.
