The Fruitpig Company – Adrian Williams

The Fruitpig Company, is an East-Anglian based artisan butchery producing traditional fresh blood black puddings, slow-cured bacon and other speciality meats from traditional breeds. With an increasing following of restaurants and butcheries, both locally and nationally, there was a need to reinforce the branding and support the revamp of the company’s website. A printed sleeve to wrap around black pudding sticks had previously been produced, but was cumbersome to apply, both for Fruitpig in a busy production area and for retailers. The card sleeve was also not ideal in situ, exposed as it was to moisture and low temperatures. Fruitpig worked with Acorn Labels to create a simple generic product label, easy to apply and using material and adhesion fit for the job. The label was made a size suitable for affixing to both product sizes, with a design consistent with the look of the new website. Acorn handled the design and proofing process, completing the initial run in a matter of days in time to fulfil a large order. The end result is a simple but effective improvement in branding for Fruitpig, as the company continues to expand having moved to new premises early in 2018.
