Congratulations to Wayne Bell of ACP Concrete who has just been awarded the University Certificate in Professional Development in Advanced Concrete Technology at Derby University. A Proud Moment. The 2 year course has been developed by the university along with The Concrete Society and is aimed at providing participants with an in-depth knowledge at an advanced level of a wide variety of topics within the field of concrete, and upon qualification become Concrete Technologists, which is recognised by the Institute of Concrete Technology to support applications for associate membership to the organisation. “Having worked at ACP Concrete Ltd since 1998, I have always had an interest in concrete and its behaviour but until the last few years, never realised that there were nationally recognised qualifications to be achieved.” “It’s has been very demanding at times, having to meet deadlines for assignments as well as doing my daily work and managing a young family but the satisfaction of this achievement has made it worthwhile. I would like to thank ACP for all of their support over the last 2 years, without this my achievement would not have been possible.” Wayne’s next goal is, hopefully, to be accepted for enrolment for the advanced diploma in Concrete Technology and is the leading qualification in concrete technology and has world-wide acceptance.
