Cylinder Head Repair

A modern twist Using modern technology on an early 1900 engine cylinder head. This aluminium,straight eight, Pascarra cylinder head, one of only two in existence required substantial welding and repair and the fitting of steel valve seats which was carried out by the customer, then required machining back to its original combustion shape. The original combustion cavities were miss-aligned to the cylinder head so the block was digitised on the Faro Arm and the new combustion cavities were reinstated true to the block having first been 3d scanned and a solid model of the shape made, this was then converted into an NC milling path.
