There are countless beers on the market, with many people simply sticking to their favourite brew. However, you may not have discovered some of the most bizarre beers that are, in fact, available around the world.
Here at Adams Gas, we’re dedicated to ensuring that you can provide your customers with a quality pint using our cellar gas. However, if someone comes in and asks for ‘something a bit different’, here are a few drinks that you can suggest.
Mamma Mia! Pizza Beer
Yep, you read that correctly. Believe it or not, each bottle of this beer is made using a whole margherita pizza, with plenty of basil and oregano to match. Reviews are incredibly mixed, but if you don’t feel like chewing your pizza, it may be worth giving it a try.
Maple Bacon Coffee Porter
If you want the taste of Canada in one swig, it may be worth giving this one a try. This beer actually receives pretty good reviews from those who have tried it, but you have to admit, it does sound like a weird combination.
Voodoo Doughnut Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Ale
Is it ale or a dessert? Your guess is as good as ours on that one. The Rogue Brewery is famed for bringing out a variety of dessert-flavoured alcoholic beverages, and this one is just another string to its bow. One thing’s for sure, if you fancy a doughnut, some chocolate, peanut butter, a banana and some ale, it’s easier to just take a swig of this.
Rocky Mountain Oyster Stout
If you’ve ever tried stout and thought ‘this could be saltier’, then this beverage could be the answer to your prayers. Believe it or not, this stout is actually brewed with oysters thrown directly into the tank. Mmm... delicious.
Coconut Curry Hefeweizen
Just when you thought alcohol couldn’t get any weirder, the famous Belgian brewery brought out this concoction. It uses a flavour combination of sweet coconut and the spiciness of a traditional curry. It also contains a hint of banana, because a curry-flavoured beer wasn’t quite out-there enough.
Hello Kitty Beer
It’s the beer that has taken Asia by storm, although we’re not quite sure why. Hello Kitty beers come in six flavours, including peach, lemon & lime, and banana. Many people have said that it tastes like fruit juice with a beer aftertaste. The main thing we can establish from this particular beer is that Hello Kitty appears to have had an identity crisis.
Sapporo Space Barley
If you want a beer that tastes out of this world – literally – then this is the beer for you. Sapporo Space Barley is made with barley that was actually on the International Space Station. When it was released in 2009, bottles were selling for around $100 each, the proceeds of which went to science education programs.
Brewmeister Snake Venom
Containing around 67.5% ABV, this beer is incredibly strong and certainly not recommended for consumption. If you can source it, a bottle will cost you around $80, and comes complete with a warning label. It’s known as one of the world’s most potent beers.
Rogue Ales’ The Beard Beer
Some people put their heart and soul into their creations; this brewery decided to go a bit further. Every bottle of this beer contains a small fragment from the beard of the brewery’s chief brewer, John Maier. Sounds a bit hairy to us.
We hope you enjoyed reading about some of the world’s most unusual beers, although we recommend that you stick to a more conventional pint. But no matter what beverages you wish to serve to your customers, Adams Gas can ensure you can keep pulling the pints. For more information, contact us today by calling 0800 195 4445.
