SRBF (Synthetic Resin Bonded Fibre)

SRBF is a common abbreviation for Synthetic Resin Bonded Fibre and here at Advanced Seals & Gaskets we manufacture and supply an extensive range of SRBF products to our customers’ requirements: SRBF is available in a wide range of thicknesses including 0.8mm, 1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm, 3mm, SRBF and SRBP4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 16mm and 20mm with a sheet size of 1220mm x 1220mm. SRBF can be supplied in both a medium weave and fine weave depending upon the customer’s requirement and application. SRBF is a strong, tough, rigid engineering material that is manufactured from layers of fibre that have been bonded together with resin. Because of its unique construction this means that it has excellent mechanical strengths with high electrical properties and low moisture / water absorption rates. Some key characteristics of SRBF are : • High electrical resistance properties • Low moisture/absorption rates • Wear resistant • Impact resistant • Chemical resistant SRBF is manufactured to a very high specification including BS2572 and BS EN 60893 and has a working temperature of 120°c.
