ASC motors into top 100
17-06-2013
Advanced Supply Chain has broken into a prestigious industry power listing recognising the UK`s largest and fastest growing haulage and transport firms.
ASC has ranked 97 in the 2012 Motor Transport Top 100 – the first time the company has appeared in the listing. ASC joins a host of well renowned companies in the list including DHL, Eddie Stobart and FedEx UK.
ASC`s pre-tax profits grew from £340,000 in 2010 to £508,000 for the year ending June 2011 on a turnover of £17.4million. The company employs over 550 people at six sites across the UK and has grown turnover by more than 100% over the past three years.
The company recently announced it is on target to grow its turnover to £35million in 2012 and plans to hit £100 million per annum in the next five years. This growth will create around 1,500 new jobs and should see ASC move its way up Motor Transport’s Top 100.
Mike Danby, Managing Director of ASC, says: "Breaking in to the Top 100 is a fantastic accolade and testament to the hard work of a really talented team. We’re constantly developing the service we offer to provide customers with significant financial savings and operational advantages. This is driving our growth and winning recognition throughout the industry."
ASC works with customers including Matalan, Makro and Go Outdoors. The company was recently shortlisted in the Retail Week Supply Chain of the Year Awards 2012.
