Complex Mezzanine Design
Incorporating Multiple Height Variations Fire Brigade, South West
When a major fire brigade took over an existing distribution building for their new workshop facilities, it selected Advantage to carry out the complicated design in overcoming the many variations in heights.
As the brigade had no need for the existing dock levellers, Advantage laser levelled, designed and manufactured a floor to overcome the many height variations, with a first-tier at 1.0m high and a second-tier at 3.9m high.
With the Mezzanine floors installed, sprinklers were fitted above and below the mezzanine level prior to Advantage building sound rated partition offices, restroom, locker room and training facilities.
The sound reduction was an important criterion, so partition windows were double glazed and insulation quilt fitted above all ceilings.
Advantage designed and built the new Central Stores, installing high bay adjustable steel shelving with high access mobile steps, pallet racking, workbenches and barriers.
