State-Of-The-Art Expansion Aerospace Engineering Manufacturer, Gloucestershire Partitioning & Ceilings This expanding company based in Gloucestershire approached Advantage having acquired a new premises in Tewkesbury to accommodate both manufacturing and office areas. The large industrial unit was an empty shell and presented a blank canvas which enabled our customer to divide the space to suit his particular requirements. We were involved at the design stage to advise on the structural detail for the mezzanine floor which had the same footprint as the building itself – doubling the space available. With the mezzanine floor installed, the space was divided further, employing a combination of different partitioning solutions to suit the intended use. Our solution comprised the following elements: Quality pressed steel partitions in a powder-coated white finish were installed on the ground floor The Goods Inwards and Stores areas were solid to waist height with mesh above to maximise the flow of air and light Solid/glass/solid partitioning formed the grinding and assembly shops, with a separate area for test and inspection A bespoke set of large double doors were supplied for the Plant Room The enclosed staircase was constructed with half-hour fire-rated partitions to provide a protected means of escape and included a feature toughened glazed balustrade with a powder-coated rail A combination of stud and composite partitions decorated in a textured vinyl wallpaper form the main office areas, with drylining to the perimeter cladding and contract carpet tiles for the flooring Boxing to roof beams provides an interesting feature to the Boardroom and opened up the available headroom significantly We provided all plumbing services for this project including toilet cubicles with a stainless steel trough urinal to the shop floor toilets. In the staff rest area, a hard-wearing timber effect vinyl flooring provides a clean and modern finish and furniture in a contemporary style from our extensive furniture range completed the look.
