RPMC is the comercial partner of LDX Optronics, founded in 1990, and specialising in broad stripe multimode laser diodes The Tennessee-based manufacturer boasts a 6,250-square-foot facility housing laser diode packaging labs, a lifetest and burn-in lab, an electronics laboratory and machine shop. \ LDX offers a wide range of laser diode wavelengths, from 622nm to 1.8µm, with a focus on red and IR wavelengths. Known for handling heat-sensitive esoteric wavelengths, LDX packages tens of thousands of devices annually in various formats, including c-mount and custom packages.

LDX collaborates with top facilities for wafer growth, ensuring robust performance and longevity, with lifetimes exceeding 10,000 hours for common wavelengths.
