Broadband ASE Sources

Fibotec's fibreoptic broadband sources use the amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) of optically pumped rare-earth doped core optical fibres to generate broadband output from only a few nm to the entire emission spectra of the dopant.

Fibreoptic ASE sources are typically higher power than fibre-coupled broadband semiconductor sources with lower Relative Intensity Noise (RIN) and strong incoherence-making them the ideal source for test and measurement applications.
