These light sources are a compact Master Oscillator Power Amplifier (MOPA) design that can be directly modulated at a repetition rate of >6kHz and a pulse power of 10 µJ/50ns (200W peak).
The combination of low power consumption, high optical power density and the excellent beam quality after decoupling into freespace means these sources are ideally suited to many test and measurement applications and are particularly suited to mobile range finders and LIDAR systems.
Standard versions operate at around 1500nm with 1050-1090nm systems available on request. An additional booster amplifier stage can be specified which enables higher repetition rates (above 50kHz) or peak power (2kW).
