Bespoke Cables AP Technology offers over 25 years of experience in the design, creation and manufacture of bespoke cables to deliver a product that meets your exact application requirements. We work with you to understand your application and requirement, to ensure that we gather the right data to ensure we deliver a solution meets the electrical, environmental and approval requirements for the cable you require. Once the cable is designed we will produce a drawing and data sheet for you to check prior to the submission of a quotation. AP Technology has successfully designed cables for applications in Telecommunications, Wind Farms and Industrial automation systems in addition to cables for use in the entertainments and military markets. Customised Cables In addition to the production of bespoke cables AP Technology is able to modify existing designs to give a fast turn to enable “off the shelf “ cables to be utilised in special applications, this service includes: Over Sheathing Utilising an off the shelf cable we are able to over sheath it with materials to protect your cables in the environment in which they operate e.g. PUR, PE or LSOH. Over sheathing can also be used to change the jacket colour of the cable. Over Armouring Taking an off the shelf cable and applying a galvanised steel wire braid or single wire armour in addition to an over jacket of PVC, PUR,PE or LSOH material enables standard cable to be used in applications requiring direct burial. Cable Stripin This service offers the application of a spiral marked strip to an existing cable to aid visual identification of individual cables.
