Containerised UV Disinfection Packages to Treat Low Quality Surface Water

Another 2 containerised UV disinfection packages are set to leave the atg UV Technology production facility today. These particular packages will be treating 1,300 m3/hr and 350 m3/hr of low quality surface water. The mobile, turn-key packages built within a 30ft and 20ft container, include a 40 micron filtration package followed by an ultra-compact, high output medium pressure UV disinfection system. Working in conjunction with the filtration package, the environmentally friendly, chemical free UV disinfection systems will provide a >3 Log reduction (99.9% disinfection) of harmful microorganisms and bacteria, including E.coli, enterococci and cyanobacteria, making the water safe without the need for chemicals such as chlorine. Variable power and dose pacing is a key feature of the UV systems, automatically adjusting the operating power and UV intensity to match both changes in water quality and flow rate and reduce operational costs.
