WORLD WATER DAY 2018

With 35 years of dedication, expertise and passion in water treatment, atg UV Technology are proud to be supporting water projects around the world. This World Water Day, we are delighted to announce the opening of the Goram Goram Tower in the village of Bilandori, in Burkina Faso. World Water Day began in 1993, to inspire people around the world to learn about water and the issues faced by many on a daily basis. In the following 25 years, World Water Day has evolved into much more – inspiring individuals, communities and organisations to research, raise money and make changes which will impact generations to come in some of the poorest and most remote places on earth. Today, 2.1 billion people live without safe drinking water, impacting their education, health and livelihoods. This year’s World Water Day theme is Nature for Water, which explores nature to provide poverty areas with fresh, clean water. Through planting new forest, re-joining rivers to flood plains and restoring wetlands, water charities are able to install sustainable, cost effective measures to re-balance the water cycle and make a lasting difference to communities.
