This enables sheets (or components produced upstream) to be cut to size on demand from a bulk coil supply, thereby reducing stockholding of standard sheets. For high accuracy cut to length where productivity is not a critical factor, Atkin Automation offers various lines based on a static shear. This, combined with an Atkin Automation servo rollfeed, provides exceptional cut to length accuracy. For higher productivity the company offers a range of flying shears where material can be continuously produced without the need to stop for cutting.
