A leading plastic resin manufacturer in Norfolk has invested into their third Avelair air compressor. The company has been running two fixed speed 15kW Avelair air compresssors for over ten years. Avelair completed data logging on the site air compressors which detailed potential energy savings of approximately £2,000 per year with the investment of a Variable Speed Air Compressor. The VSD rotary screw air compressor uses an integrated inverter to ramp the motor speed in response to air demand and hence reduces energy consumption and reduces carbon footprint.
The new VSD 22kW air compressor is now their lead compressor with an SX Compressor management controller intelligently controlling the fixed and variable speed compressors to ensure optimum performance and energy savings. The Norfolk based company now also has back up air when one air compressor requires to be serviced.
