Avelair VSD compressor saves client £20,000 a year in running costs

When a leading UK manufacturer in the aviation sector based in Norfolk approached Avelair to quote for a new air compressor, our first focus was on how to increase their efficiency.  Alex De-Moore, Avelair’s Business Development Manager for East Anglia, visited the Norfolk site and installed data loggers onto the 20 year old existing air compressors for one week so that their usage could be anaylsed.  The report indicated that the old fixed speed air compressor was consuming over 55,000kW hrs off load where the air compressor was not producing compressed air – this equates to £20,575 per year in wasted electrical cost.
