New centralised compressed air system for leading refrigeration company

Avelair have recently installed three 55kW Variable speed air compressors at one of the UK’s largest commercial refrigeration manufacturers.

The three variable speed air compressors are managed by an inteligent compressor management controller ensuring the compressors run in their windows of efficiency whilst also sequencing.  The compressor management controller is connected to the ethernet offering total remote visualisation of air consumption, pressure, and compressor status.

The aim of the project was to offer increased effciency and productivity.  To ensure the correct system was offered, full data logging of the existing plant was completed.  The compressed air system has a dedicated main plant refrigerant dryer with filtration ensuring good quality air to the whole plant whilst having dedicated duty / standby desiccant dryers to the new laser cutters offering air quality to ISO 8673-1 class 1.2.1.

A condensate management system has been installed to treat the oily condensate into clean condensate with a dedicated pumping system installed to pump the condendate 100 metres into a foul sewer drain.

Variable Speed Air compressors have integated inverter technology which alters the speed of the motor in response to air demand which reduces energy consumstion and carbon emmissions.
