Healthcare Estates 2024 was another spectacular success with record-breaking attendances for the two-day event, at Manchester Central, on 8th and 9th October. We’d like to congratulate and thank the organisers who continue to grow this event, which is already the UK’s largest for healthcare engineering and estates management professionals!
For us, here at Axis Entrance Systems, this year’s event was our best so far too!
On our stand, we were able to install five fully operational doors; a Manusa hermetic door, a Doorson bi-parting door and three doors from our own multi-award-winning Flo-Motion® range, including two new ones, launched at the exhibition!
NEW PRODUCT LAUNCHES & THE STAR OF THE SHOW!
The new Flo-Motion® F12E is an evolved and enhanced version of our original door with a new, narrower, space-saving track and Class 1 classification for air permeability.
The new Flo-Motion® T32E, a telescopic doorset with two sequenced doors sliding over a wall, was the star of the show for us, for the huge interest it received on the stand and the number of enquiries we’ve had in the two weeks since the show!
THE UNRIVALLED SOLUTION FOR SMALLER SINGLE ENTRANCES
The back story of the Flo-Motion® T32E began two years ago. Working closely with architects and NHS Trusts to address the issue of usable space in the design of healthcare facilities, we started developing the next generation of manual sliding door products. Fast forward to Autumn 2024 and here we are with the Flo-Motion® T32E – the unrivalled, perfect solution for smaller single entrances!
Options for the Flo-Motion® T32E include a standard or sloping canopy, two colour finishes and various glazing configurations, all installed with a 5-year warranty than can be extended to 7 years.
1,000,000 TEST CYCLES!
And as with all our Flo-Motion® doors, the T32E has been tested to 1,000,000 cycles, far exceeding the requirements of BS SN 1527:2019, which is only 100,000 cycles!
OUR ‘GUESS THE FORCE’ COMPETITION WINNERS!
Nearly as popular as the products on our stand Healthcare Estates, was our charity competition! We invited visitors to ‘Guess the Force’ of the two new Flo-Motion® doors on our stand. We’re delighted to share the competition winners and their nominated good causes, that have each received a donation of £100!
- Sharon Cook (P+HS Architects) for Northumberland National Park Mountain Rescue
- David Spacey (Apex Consulting Engineers) for Rotherham Hospital & Community Charity
- Jennifer Reynolds (BSN Group) for Birmingham Children’s Hospital – Climbing Kilimanjaro
- Claire Redhead (Geze UK) for MIND – The National Association for Mental Health
- Mark Miller (Horsley Huber Architects) for Birmingham Children’s Hospital
- Name Withheld (Murphy Phillips Associates) for The Samaritans - Central London Branch
Well done to our winners for their very good guesses & for nominating their very good causes!
THE FORCE TEST RESULTS
Our two new Flo-Motion® doors were digitally force tested the evening before the exhibition with the Flo-Motion® F12E, single sliding door, achieving 9.2N and the Flo-Motion® T32E, telescopic door, achieving 8.6N.
