A spacious garden room that all the family could use. The Project This modern Garden Room measures 6m x 2.7m. Features include: aluminium French Doors and our first ever project with a Cedar Wood exterior finish. We were able to use an existing concrete base where the old garage once stood - due to the height of this project it did not require planning permission. The unique placement of cedar along part of the front facade, gave the inside a cosy atmosphere and a perfect spot for the L-shaped sofa in the lounge area. The Work This was the first building delivered by Bakers Timber Buildings that used the increasingly popular option of cedar cladding. Many homeowners enjoy the benefits of our modern construction techniques but still want a traditional look for their garden rooms. In this case, the client had demolished a garage just behind their house but left the hardstanding in place – and set their hearts on a cedar building built by us to high standards. We were happy to oblige, and constructed a garden room that was cleverly designed to give privacy from the road and from the house itself. The wooden design, with anthracite fascias, doors and windows, blends in beautifully with the rest of the garden and the family are delighted to have a new room where they can spend so much leisure time together for 12 months of the year. The Result We are extremely proud to have delivered a cedar-clad building to the satisfaction of the client.
