Games Room - Surrey - 5608

Read how we designed and installed our Surrey based customer's dream games room with matching shed The Project Our clients were looking for a games room and something fun for the whole family The children had all but outgrown their outdoor play area and there was a dead space in the garden which seemed the perfect position for the garden room. The family also needed somewhere to place all of their old equipment previously stored in their old shed but wanted their room to look streamlined and have as much glass as possible to maximise the light and size. Martin suggested that instead of a combination room they kept the rooms separate and so we designed a room with corner windows and bi-folding doors, adding a separate shed to match - the perfect solution for this situation. The Work After an old concrete base was removed, we installed our steel and timber framed base. The size is 6x5 (30sqm) the maximum allow before regulations, also keeping the building under 2.5m in height we installed this within permitted development rights. The building features out MXT and Aluminium 10 year warrantee options. Medite Tricoya Extreme, is an amazing product and we used it on this project for all the external cladding, trims and facias; this along with the Aluminium bi-folding doors, windows, cement wall to rear and right and the "Firestone EPDM" roof leaves virtually no maintenance and a 30-50 year life expectancy. Externals we finished in "Signal grey" RAL 7004, internally the MDF has out V-200 in "Timeless" and the large room allowed for a 1200x1200 bar with colour match top. We installed a full electrics package, including 2 heaters, LED down lights in and out and our communications pack with its own WiFi zone. Out the front we continued with the low maintenance theme with a composite decking by "Twinson" with mini LED up lights. The storage shed was made of timber, however we kept the same look by using a vertical TGV. The Result Our client was thrilled with the outcome, their review says it all: "We love our garden games room & bar, we use it all the time and it is a fantastic addition to our home.
