The Project Our clients were revamping their garden and wanted to build a pool side room suitable for entertaining and relaxing beside their outdoor pool. They found us by searching the internet and visited our show centre to discuss how they could convert their ideas into reality. After meeting with Keith Baker one Saturday we provided them with an initial quotation to consider. Following up on their visit Martin Baker went to see them at home to further discuss their requirements and the uneven ground levels in their garden meant they needed to apply for planning permission due to a number of factors, including the location of the property and the height of the room being taller than the top of their garden wall. Our planning advisor obtained the necessary permissions on their behalf. They had an old brick built pump house which, although functional, was in need of upgrading and so we also provided new fascia under the canopy and painted the timber door and window to match their new pool side room. The Result in our client words“We decided to install a garden swimming pool room and found a local company, Bakers Timber. We visited their show office and asked lots of questions and were pleased to discover that they could tailor make our room. Having decided on size and specification we ordered the room. It was all prepared off site and delivered on schedule for installation in our garden. Installation was straightforward and on time and we were very pleased with the building. We are thrilled with our garden room and have used it extensively over the summer. The toilet/ changing room area has been really useful and has stopped dripping wet children running through the house. We use the sitting area for reading, socialising, listening to music and playing music and enjoying the garden in peace and have just installed a TV for the children.
