Bar Code Data Supports The Rawthey Project - ‘We leave no Man, Woman or Child behind’

Through psychologically informed, appropriate, and planned interventions, The Rawthey Project works to advance the wellbeing and save the lives of some of the most vulnerable members of society, in particular ex-service personnel and their families who are struggling to adjust to civilian life following traumas of war, by providing a programme of support with the aim of achieving independent living and sustainable employment. Homelessness, drink and drug abuse, financial insolvency, long-term unemployment and psychological illness are just some of the challenges those benefitting from the Project face. Where required the charity provides residential recovery for up to 3 months. The residential recovery provides beneficiaries with the opportunity to rapidly change their environment and re-evaluate their personal situation with the support of peers, mentors and clinical professionals. Working towards the goals of independent living and sustainable employment, Rawthey integrate progressive employment with local businesses as a vehicle for recovery. All support is led and guided by a trained and qualified Clinical Psychologist and/or other care professional. All work is done by volunteers. No one is paid a salary, nor does anyone receive any expenses. The aim is to ensure that all funds raised solely support the rehabilitation of the beneficiaries, on their journey of achieving stability and feelings of self-worth with a change in career path. Bar Code Data is proud to have supported Drew Rule, veteran and volunteer mentor with The Rawthey Project, in his challenge to walk the length of Hadrian’s Wall on behalf of the Project, successfully completed in August 2022.
