Advanced Fused Fibre Devices
27-06-2007
Abstract
Regular fused fibre device performance is affected by the environment in various ways - so much so that these effects are exploited in some sensors to measure vibration (sound), temperature, pressure etc. Of course, in optical communications systems these effects are undesirable and great care has to be taken in manufacture, packaging and mounting to avoid problems. Using advanced fusing techniques, Comcore has developed fused fibre devices that exhibit ultra-high reliability, novel designs and very high, consistent performance.
Press Release
