The main central hall at Parkside Primary School in Chingford provided a large space for multi-use by various groups through the school day. The drawback with this was that the hall was also used as a thoroughfare for pupils to access between the different rooms within the school - and this was interrupting sessions in the central hall.
Beehive’s solution was the supply and installation of three sets of concertina folding partitions, together with support frameworks, to allow a flexible corridor to be formed when needed along the side of the central hall. This now allows privacy for activities in the central hall when needed -and also allows the full area of the central hall to still be used for large groups when the partitions are opened up. More flexible use of the one space has been achieved.
