BGB's Nick Herbert Selected To Judge UK's Top STEM Competition

BGB Sales and Marketing Director, Nick Herbert, is delighted to have been selected as a judge in support of Engineering UK’s The Big Bang Competition. The Big Bang UK Competition aims to recognise and reward young people’s achievements in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM), and provide them with the opportunity to build their skills and confidence in project-based work. As a judge, Nick will be assessing a number of projects and providing feedback and encouragement to those submitting the projects. Referring to the competition, Nick commented "It’s wonderful to be able to give something back to engineering, science and STEM in general after over 20 years in the industry. Having started out my career as an engineer working within various engineering and manufacturing businesses, it’s great to see these initiatives taking place and to witness their contribution to promoting the industry and supporting the development of tomorrow’s engineers.” The Big Bang Fair is the UK’s biggest celebration of STEM for young people and is returning from Weds 22 to Fri 24 June 2022 at The NEC in Birmingham.
