Solution Focus: Hydraulic Rotary Joint BGB’s rotating hydraulic joint is designed to minimise pressure drop by optimising oil passages for size and for safety factors. This balance makes it perfectly suited for demanding applications where reliability is key. BGB utilises its turnkey design service through to high tolerance machining to optimise load balancing on the oil-bearing. We consider the supporting forces from axial pressure and correct clearances to ensure that minimal mechanical force is exerted on the joint. Material selection is key for these components, and we utilise high-grade treated hardened steel fitted inside an anti-marring ultra-hard bronze suit. These materials are specifically engineered for resistance to wear and long-term, maintenance-free operation.
