WORLD EARTH DAY 2023
Where Did Earth Day Begin?
In April 22nd 1970 the First World Earth Day began with Senator Nelson, he had long been concerned about the deteriorating environment in the USA, along with Pete McCloskey they recruited Denis Hayes, a Young activist to help.
In 1990 Earth Day went Global mobilising 200 million people in 141 countries and lifting environmental issues onto the world stage. Earth Day 1990 gave a huge boost to recycling efforts worldwide and helped pave the way for the 1992 United Nations Earth Summit.
Today Earth Day is widely recognised as the largest secure observance in the world, marked by more than a billion people every year.
Earth Day is changing human attitudes about and behaviour toward plastics and reducing plastic pollution.
With a more than ever increased awareness of the environment and the recycling of more and more material it is conceivable that you can get a “green” variation on just about any product, it now makes more sense than ever for you to align your marketing campaigns alongside this occasion, not just on the day but throughout the year with our ever-growing range of environmentally friendly products.
