Introducing Our New - Solid English Oak Herringbone Parquet Flooring

We're very excited to announce our brand new product - Solid English Oak Parquet Flooring. As a traditional, wide-board wood flooring manufacturer, we wanted to produce a parquet floor which matches the quality of our existing range in terms of sustainability, natural appeal and longevity. Our New Solid English Oak Parquet Flooring ticks all those boxes and more. Manufactured in traditional parquet blocks, from locally and sustainably sourced solid English Oak, this floor will provide a lifetime of use and enjoyment.

The oak is a classic grade and displays a pleasing mix of small knots and scatterings of pip. Some sections will show the beautiful, natural figuring known as 'medullary rays'; a unique and much sought after feature of English Oak. Our images show the blocks laid in a popular herringbone pattern, but the design options are boundless. The blocks can be laid to suit your own particular design and can be much enhanced by the use of contrasting borders and infills. Our English Oak Parquet Flooring is suitable for both domestic and commercial use and can also be used in conjunction with under-floor heating. The floor should be laid using the glue-down method of fitting, using an MS polymer adhesive and appropriate notched trowel. The parquet blocks are machined with a sawn under-surface with a bilateral rebate to facilitate the glue adhesion.

Once laid, the floor will need a light sand prior to sealing with an appropriate floor finish of your choice. Our images show the floor finished with a clear Osmo Polyx Oil, but you could also use a stain or tinted finish if you have a particular shade in mind. The floor can be sanded and refinished multiple times to suit changing decor and furnishings.

To ensure the best results, we recommend using an experienced floor layer or joiner to fit your floor, as this investment will produce a beautiful parquet floor of great distinction which will literally last a lifetime.
