Oak Beams - from Tree to Factory We have just taken delivery of a very exciting consignment. A couple of weeks ago our managing director Tony and production manager Jason made the trip to Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire to hand pick some rather huge English Oak trees! Tony couldn't hide his excitement at the sight of the truck making its way into the car park, with the largest of the logs weighing around 7 tonnes and stretching 42 ft long! Tony and Jason sprung straight into action upon delivery to begin slicing and re-sizing some of the more manageable logs. We will now stock both fresh sawn and air dried oak beams as well as kiln drying the thinner oak planks. Feel free to come and pay a visit to see our exciting new additions.
