Oak Flooring

Our solid oak flooring is by far our most popular species of hardwood flooring. With its distinctive grain and gorgeous honeyed tones, nothing compares to the beauty of a real oak floor. A hardwax oil finish transforms the oak to a golden biscuit colour which develops a rich patina over time, and accentuates the grain structure and features of the wood. All our solid oak floors are manufactured from sustainably-sourced timber and are available in a range of grades, shades and finishes to suit any interior design space. Both our white oak and dark oak floors are supplied in wide boards and long lengths as standard.We source the raw oak timber from the very best saw mills in France and machine every floor on-site here in the UK. The oak boards are kiln-dried to a moisture content of 8-10%, and then carefully stored, before and after machining, in our temperature-controlled factory. This makes our solid oak flooring fully compatible for use within a warm, dry property with no need for lengthy acclimatisation.We pre-plane the solid oak boards before final machining which results in accurately machined floorboards which are extremely straight, flat and a pleasure to fit. Mass produced imported solid oak floors are not made, stored, or quality controlled to the same high standards as a British Hardwoods oak floor.
