Pressing Capability Enables the Production of Cooling Tube Clamping Plates For Heat Exchanger Core

We were approached by a company requiring the production of a series of one-piece pressed plates that form part of the clamping and fixing structure for the cooling tube core within a new heat exchanger design.

A total of 5 plate types were produced and feature multiple bends at the same pitch across the entire length.  As they are used in pairs to clamp and support the cooling tubes within the core, accuracy, and consistency were extremely important to ensure compatibility and alignment.

Specilaised pressing tools were developed by the production and engineering team at Brooks Forgings who successfully manufactured and supplied all of the required components to customer specifications and requirements.
