This is an important department of Brooks Forgings manufacturing facility is its hand forging division. Using skills handed down through generations, our master craftsmen are able to make and replicate metal products to samples and drawings supplied by customers.Why use the hand forging process?Hand forging is not just a process used to make products from the past. Many low volume bespoke products are more cost effectively made by hand forging, due to the low set up costs.Another benefit is the superior grain flow and refining of the steels internal structure which comes from bending and working whilst hot. This means that hand forged products are both stronger, more durable and longer lasting than fabricated, cast or machined components.
