SCADA & HMI

The preferred SCADA solution in CALDAN controls is Beckhoff Hardware and Indusoft Software. Normally we use 15” touch screens in the main panel and 7” touch panels at the operator boxes. These are placed where the operators handle the wagons and items. If needed these panels can be delivered in various sizes: • The SCADA solution is preferred where the visualization solution is more advanced e.g. when a database is required. In this situations we use an industrial PC by Beckhoff and install an SQL database for handling the data. • Beckhoff deliver touch panels in several different sizes as normal flat screens and also wide screens. • Beckhoff also offer a replacement of your panel within 24 hours if you have an Beckhoff panel installed. • One of the advantages of selecting Beckhoff is the license policy. If you have a control system with more screens you only need to by one run time and one client license. The client license can handle up to 8 panels. This is cost efficient. HMI: The preferred HMI solution in CALDAN controls is Siemens hardware and software. Normally we use 15” touch screens in the main panel and 6” or 8” touch panels at the operator boxes. These are placed where the operators handle the wagons and items. If needed these panels can be delivered in various sizes: • When selecting the Siemens HMI solution you have an integrated solution where you can program and access all addresses and feathers through the Siemens Software Tia Portal v13.
