Objective The customer wanted to provide an area for parents to wait in the playground. They also wanted to make a statement about how the canopies would look, as this would affect the aesthetics of the school. Problem solving with the canopy designphoto copy This particular installation was all about the finished look of the canopy. The school wanted a modern feel and a striking look that would attract attention and really make a statement about the school. The school has a corporate colour of dark green and it was essential that the canopy complimented this. Choosing the right product With the key issue being design, the Monza canopy (part of our Italia range) was chosen for its sleek design and modern aluminium framework. The Monza canopy offers a practical cantilevered solution whilst maintaining a striking appearance. The added benefit of having posts installed against the playground wall, rather than having posts at the front was ideal because this meant there were no unsightly obstructions and more importantly it enabled free flowing traffic. We can install canopies all year round and when this was explained to the school it became apparent that having the canopy installed as soon possible was made easy with our installation team’s flexible working approach. We managed to fence off individual areas of the playground, meaning we could still install and carry about our work in playtime Interesting facts about the canopy •The Monza Canopy is installed in modules, 8 in total at this site •The Aluminium framework can be powder coated to match the schools colour scheme •The roofing panels offer UV Protection whilst the colour tint offers a stylish finish.
