Aluminium alloy 2024 has a very high strength, slightly higher than 2014. High fatigue strength is used to an advantage on structures and parts where good strength to weight ratio are required. Alloy 2024 is commonly used for aerospace components – machined or fabricated items - especially wing and fuselage structures under tension. Also used for engineering.At Capalex we use the following alloys; 1050, 1200, 2014(A), 2024, 3003, 5083, 6005(A), 6060, 6061, 6063(A), 6082, 7020, 7075.
