Carbolite Gero offers a large range of the highest standard ashing furnaces with many characteristics tailored to ashing and burn-off application, with maximum temperatures of ashing furnaces reaching up to 1200°C and chamber volumes reaching up to 32 litres, Carbolite Gero have tailored each furnace to suit your laboratory needs.
For those laboratories where ashing is interspersed with other heat treatment work, the ashing furnace AAF 12/18 and AAF 12/32 provide all the AAF design, but with a higher maximum temperature of 1200 °C.
The ABF Afterburner Ashing Furnace is particularly suitable
for ashing larger samples such as biomass, which are more likely to generate substantial amounts of smoke. The ABF is made up of one large main combustion chamber and a two tier set of sample baskets, the exhaust from the main chamber is processed through a high temperature afterburner to further process fumes and smoke.
Carbolite Gero also have the impressive GSM furnace chamber which is constructed from a fused quartz, to avoid Alumina or Silica dust (the materials used to make furnace chambers) affecting select analysis techniques. The AAF-BAL ashing furnace can be used for loss on ignition
applications where weight change of the sample must be
monitored during the heating process as it is fitted with an integral balance.
