Managing Director Sujan Shah says: It was important for us to expand our range of products in an increasingly competitative market. The demand for more than just Carrier Bags was growing and including tissue paper, gift packaging, grip seal bags amongst others was a very good move for us. Particularly as we offer our bags in small pack sizes, from as little as 25 bags, which is unique to us. Expanding their product range has allowed Carrier Bag Shop grow from 2 to 10 full time staff and expand their warehouse space from 1000 sq ft to 9300 sq ft in just 3 years. Amongst many there are 2 stand out achievements for Carrier Bag Shop. - In 2008 they became a preferred supplier of Paper Bags to the first town to go Plastic Bag Free, Modbury. This has been instrumental in helping Carrier Bag Shop become more of an eco friendly packaging supplier - In July 2008 Carrier Bag Shop beat over 10,000 applicants nationwide and were chosen as a top 20 finalist for the coveted HSBC Start Up Stars Award. Within 3 years of inception a top 20 finalist needed to show innovation, strong growth and community & environmental consciousness. From the very beginning Carrier Bag Shop has not only sold carrier bags and packaging online; they have also provided a bespoke printed bag service, which has helped them expand into the events, exhibition and retail market.
