M10 x 100mm Coach screws are useful fixings that aid in fixing together timber and some metals. They have a heavy-duty head usually the shape of a hexagon followed by a threaded shaft that ends at the tip. They work by being inserted into a drilled hole and then hammering a bolt through, inserting the washer and the nut and then tightening to produce a strong, secure fixing. Pilot drill holes may be required into certain hardwoods. NOTE: Thread length is approx. 2/3 of the overall length
