White Intumescent fire and smoke 15mm x 4mm seals expand in the event of a fire and seal the gap between the door and the frame, hence preventing the spread of fire and smoke. All fire doors must be fitted with the appropriate seals The seals need to be rebated either into the door frame or the door itself, on the top and two sides 15 x 4mm is recommended for 30 minute fire rating
