WINNER OF RHS PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD FOR ARTISAN GARDENS

After a very emotional week meeting the Ambassadors whose sculptures were represented in the Meningitis Now Futures show garden, as well as their parents, it was a fabulous surprise to discover that BBC viewers and visitors to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show had voted the garden the RHS People's Choice Award: Artisan Garden! This prestigious award represents the artisan show garden that the public have liked and enjoyed the most - after a very busy week this absolutely blew us away! The crowd cheered and clapped as designer John Everiss was presented with his award, a lovely engraved cut glass vase. So a big thank you to everyone who voted. After a long week spent meeting thousands of visitors, it dawned on us that having spoken to so many people, giving out over 17,000 flyers, together with the features on prime time television, that the Meningitus Now Futures garden might well save lives in the future. A wonderful thought to take away from this inspiring project.
