WORKSHOP TOURS FOR OUR SEVENTIETH YEAR

We are unique in the market as cast stone specialists as we make all our garden ornaments and architectural stone exclusively by hand. Many of our competitors use factory machinery to manufacture their stonework. But we still make our stone from start to finish in the same way we did back in 1953 when we opened our business. To celebrate our seventieth year we are opening up our workshop so our customers can see how we craft all our stone for the best quality finish.

Chilstone opened in June 1953 on the day of Queen Elizabeth II’s Coronation.

All Chilstone products are made by hand.

Over seventy years we have worked on many restoration projects from urns at Florence Nightingale’s childhood home to the finials that adorn the famous Temperate House at Kew Gardens. All handmade!
