Cole Fabrics has invested nearly £1,000,000 in its two UK manufacturing sites in order to further raise the standards of production, testing and distribution within the business.
At our Preston site new dye plant equipment has been installed with a total of three new dyeing machines, improved water supply and an air conditioning system to improve air quality. A new office has been built and investments in IT, dye stuffs and colour analysis equipment have also been made. This makes our Preston site one of the most modern dye plants in the UK and is able to offer a weaving capability also.
In Nottingham we have renovated our testing laboratory facilities and purchased new testing apparatus. Our collation and packaging area has been renovated with a new easily cleanable floor, new IT systems, new lighting and minimal horizontal surfaces to reduce the build-up of debris.
Additionally, investment has been made the factory including slitting, sonic welding and new cut piece machinery.
Finally the site itself at Nottingham has been expanded through the purchase of two adjacent industrial units which are being repurposed by the business.
